I am a painter based in New York. My work spans the 1970s to the present and is held in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, SFMOMA, and the British Museum.
I have published my catalog raisonné as an open dataset here on Hugging Face. It currently contains roughly 3,000 to 4,000 documented works with structured metadata including title, year, medium, dimensions, and collection information. My total output is approximately double that and I will keep adding as I scan the existing archive and create new work.
The dataset is licensed CC-BY-NC-4.0, free for research and non-commercial use.
My paintings have always been about the human figure under pressure, psychological, historical, existential. I am making this available because I believe that subject matter is more relevant in an age of machine vision, not less, and because I would rather engage with AI on my own terms than not engage at all.
If you are a researcher or developer working with art datasets and want to discuss uses or collaboration, I would like to hear from you.
