Help on starting an automatic word alignment visualization tool for jap-eng

I want to build an automatic tool that produces images like the one I attached to the post. I started watched freeCodeCamp’s introduction course on NLP but i’m not quite sure where to go after that.

I can imagine there are many different approaches to this problem, but could anyone give me a simple guideline on what the pipeline would look like? I would really like to build this project but I’m not quite sure where to start really.

I’ve got a demo that works for now. The word pairs still aren’t very good, so it needs improvement.
