I am an independent researcher interested in AI systems and database research
I am currently exploring graduate opportunities in AI systems and databases, and I hope to continue research in this area.
My current research explores learned query optimization, particularly how different query plan representations provide complementary signals for improving optimizer decisions. The work studies whether graph-based query plan representations provide complementary optimization signals beyond strong optimizer-aware tabular features. I formulate learned optimization as a candidate-plan selection problem and analyze when different representations succeed or fail across different query characteristics.
