“GreenWaveML: A Theoretical Framework for Adaptive Red‑Light Wait‑Time Optimization in Smart Cities,” explores how machine learning can be used to predict traffic signal patterns and provide personalized departure-time and speed recommendations. By aligning drivers’ speeds with upcoming green phases, the model aims to reduce time wasted at red lights, cut fuel consumption, and make urban travel smoother.
