I’m looking for a mentor who has strong practical experience building real LLM/AI systems (not someone who is still figuring things out from scratch together with me).
Stuff I care about specifically:
• Using OpenAI / Claude / other LLM APIs in production (prompt design, tool/function calling, streaming, rate limits, logging/monitoring, etc.)
• Quickly wiring up different model providers via API and switching between them
• Fine-tuning models: preparing data, training, evaluating, deploying
• Building “benchmark-style” pipelines:
– model generates 30–50+ questions from a document or dataset
– we run those questions in parallel via API
– we aggregate and analyze the answers by topic
• Designing multi-step SOP-style workflows (4–6 LLM passes where models cross-check, critique and refine each other’s answers)
• Embedding AI into complex business workflows to save serious time for founders/CEOs (automation, decision support, ops, etc.)
• Teaching the programming basics needed for all this (mainly Python) and using AI coding assistants effectively
My goal is to get to the level where I can design and build serious AI products that could actually scale and become “must-have” tools, not just side projects.
So my question is - based on this, do you feel you:
-
have real hands-on experience with most of this, and
-
could noticeably accelerate my learning with your skills (rather than learning these topics alongside me)?
If yes, I’d really appreciate if you could share:
• 1–2 examples of LLM/AI systems you’ve built recently
• which models/APIs you actively use today
Not asking to schedule a call yet - just want to see if we’re a good match in terms of expertise and expectations. Happy to compensate you for your time. We’re ready to invest significantly in learning the best and newest approaches.
Thanks a lot
Fidiy
