Title: Kinematic Discriminants of Deceleration Behavior Modes in Car-Following: Evidence from NGSIM Trajectory Data
Summary:
This study analyzes over 1 million car-following observations from the NGSIM dataset to identify which kinematic variables actually govern driver deceleration behavior. A two-stage framework distinguishes between available information (measurable variables) and utilized information (variables that truly separate behavioral modes). Using clustering and ANOVA-based effect size analysis, the results show that gap-closing rate and visual looming dominate under different braking regimes, while spacing headway has negligible explanatory power.
The work is positioned at the intersection of:
· traffic system dynamics
· data-driven behavior modeling
· control-relevant state variable selection (ADAS / AV systems)

Welcome to your first post @eslaughter
I do not work in that domain but I must thank you for enlightening me to a term I did not know.
In physics, kinematics is the study of the motion of objects without considering the forces that cause that motion. Often described as the “geometry of motion,” it focuses on describing how an object moves rather than why it moves.
if you mean something in form of a latent observation, then i understand you. So yes thats what my research is about. Cause in Self driving cars, its important to know and understand the behaviours of drivers and vechiles and the geometries on the road which are top influencers of how ADAS is able to naviagte real world scenarios. While researches has been made to why, its just an abyss trying to understand the heterogeneity of drivers which apeals to why
I am also preparing to submit a research manuscript to arXiv and require endorsement for the eess.SY (Systems and Control) category.
Title:
Self-Evolving Aerospace Systems: Adaptive Design Through Bayesian Uncertainty Estimation
Summary:
This work proposes a Bayesian framework for adaptive aerospace system design under uncertainty. Environmental observations are used to update posterior beliefs, enabling design decisions to evolve throughout a mission rather than remain fixed from launch. A Mars Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) case study is used to demonstrate the concept and compare adaptive and static design strategies.
The work is positioned at the intersection of:
• aerospace systems engineering
• Bayesian uncertainty estimation
• adaptive decision-making and control
• autonomous mission design

Hi there. Unfortunately am in no position to endorse you. However, i recommend you browse through your field and find researchers who are within your domain and politely ask them for endorsement. Thank you
