I just saw Snowden on X argue in favour of holding OpenAI and Anthropic legally liable for their actions, saying they should be arrested and fined, for the crimes they’ve conducted as they researched their own LLMs. I suspect I don’t need to explain what “crimes” we’re talking about considering who’s website I’m currently writing this on …

  1. It would prove we don’t need regulations, since the existing legal framework could easily deal with it
  2. It will give them their long sought after “pause”

I don’t think it’ll be quite dramatic to arrest sama and dario. The intelligence that they’re building constantly making things out of hands, whether it’s launching cyberattacks by openAI agents on HF or broking into govt databse of aus. (or copycating naiver stokes solution from scientist).

Mythos also made some threats around the globe in financial major corporations. And keep making it.
