Ayubowan!!! This is an introduction thread for NLP in Sinhala and for practitioners in Sinhala NLP. Some of the NLP tools/dataset for Sinhala on Huggingface reside on https://huggingface.co/datasets/NLPC-UOM/ as a collective effort to support research on Sinhala NLP. Sinhala (“sin” ISO 639-3) is primarily spoken in Sri Lanka.
