Can You Legally Use BlaireSilver13/youtube-thumbnail for Commercial Projects?

Hi Hugging Face Community,

I’m considering using the BlaireSilver13/youtube-thumbnail model for a commercial project. However, I noticed that it is based on FLUX.1-dev, which has a non-commercial license.

I’m reaching out to understand if there are any specific terms or restrictions regarding the commercial use of the youtube-thumbnail model. Could anyone provide clarification on whether it’s permissible for commercial use or if there is a process for obtaining permission?

Your insights or guidance on this matter would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

It is LoRA, i.e., it will not work without the dev model itself, so it depends on the commercial availability of the dev model. To me, it looks impossible…
The generated images don’t seem to be subject to licensing restrictions, though.
If in doubt, you can certainly ask the people at BFL who provide the flux dev. Individual authors are less likely to be familiar with the license.

Also, I think Flux schnell is available for commercial use. But of course, dev and schnell are different…
