Editor Functionality to Community Section

Hello HF team,

I would like to request adding an editor toolbar to the Community section (for discussions and pull requests) of model pages, e.g. https://huggingface.co/google/gemma-3-27b-it/discussions/new. Currently, there are no direct formatting options – the only way to format text is by writing HTML tags manually, which makes harder to write clear and well‑structured text and code blocks.

From my point-of-view, it would be a huge improvement to have the same simple editor bar that already exists in this forum — with buttons for text styles, code formatting, blockquotes, links, and image embedding, etc.

That’s true. We can use Markdown as well as HTML tags, but I think it would be good to have a link to a guide on how to write Markdown.
Many people know how to write Markdown, but not everyone does.

It would be even better if there were a such rich editor.
