Fail to claim authorship of the paper

I was claiming the authorship of a paper showing on hf, but got rejected due to the mismatch of email address and the mismatch of full name. After updating my information, I found I cannot re-submit the request anymore. The webpage shows I‘ve sent claimed authorship, but the status is always rejected.
In addition, may I ask what the basis is for using the email for verification?

Hi @noobimp paper authorship is matched against your email address. You can add secondary emails in your account settings if your paper is linked to another email on arXiv so that future papers can be quickly assigned to you.

In the meantime, I’ve assigned the two papers to your account! :hugs:

I got the same error after adding the secondary email that matched my arXiv default email. There is my paper. Paper page - Extrapolating and Decoupling Image-to-Video Generation Models: Motion Modeling is Easier Than You Think

Contacting support is the proper route. It’s not specific support for papers, though… website@huggingface.co

@meganariley Paper authorship issue. Or rather, maybe HF should create email addresses like paper@ or doi@…

I have the same question.

We are also facing similar issues about authorship claiming. Kindly asking for help. @meganariley

Dear Hugging Face Support Team,

I am writing as one of the authors of the paper titled “Taming LLMs by Scaling Learning Rates with Gradient Grouping”, which was recently listed on Hugging Face Daily Papers (Paper page - Taming LLMs by Scaling Learning Rates with Gradient Grouping).

We have encountered an issue with the Authorship Claiming process. It appears the system has incorrectly auto-assigned authorship to two individuals who are not co-authors on our paper. This is preventing the actual authors from claiming their authorships.

Specifically:

  1. Incorrect Assignment for Zicheng Liu:
  • The system has assigned authorship to a “Zicheng Liu” with the Hugging Face ID: MarcusB3n.
  • This is not the Zicheng Liu who is an author on our paper.
  • We kindly request that this incorrect authorship assignment for MarcusB3n be removed from our paper.
  1. Incorrect Assignment for Dan Xu:
  • The system has assigned authorship to a “Dan Xu” with the Hugging Face ID: danxu.
  • This is also not the correct one. The actual co-author is Dan Xu (ID: danxuhk).
  • We kindly request that the incorrect assignment to danxu be removed, so that the correct co-author Dan Xu (danxuhk) can claim authorship.

As a result of these incorrect assignments, we (the actual authors) are currently unable to manage or claim our authorship for this paper.

Could you please assist us by:

  • Removing the authorship claim associated with Zicheng Liu (ID: MarcusB3n) from our paper.
  • Removing the authorship claim associated with Dan Xu (ID: danxu) from our paper.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Sincerely,

Zedong Wang

Author of “Taming LLMs by Scaling Learning Rates with Gradient Grouping” (Paper page - Taming LLMs by Scaling Learning Rates with Gradient Grouping).
