I’ve requested some gated repo for model access a while ago now (mainly a few Llama 3.2 and 3.1 models), and they are still in the pending status. Any idea when it can be approved or why it’s taking so long? Anything I can do on my end to help accelerate this?

So it’s not an automatic approval? That’s unusual.
Since this is a manual operation, I don’t think there’s any way to speed it up other than to directly contact the author.
As a workaround, there is a way to find a model that has been ungated that you are trying to use. For example, the ones uploaded by unsloth.
I’m guessing not. I also went on Meta’s website to try and get approval, but got an error saying they are unable to process my request, so there might be an issue on their end. Thanks for pointing me towards unsloth, will use the models there for now.
That sounds like a good idea. There were two people on Discord who were having trouble getting Meta approval, and one of them was living in the EU, so they were turned down, and the other person seemed to be waiting forever, just like you.
So it’s manual approval…
