Before proceeding with a home remedy, be sure that the growth you are going to remove is a skin tag. Skin tags look like small flaps in your skin. They are very similar, but not identical in color to the surrounding skin. They grow very slowly and never to a size larger than ½ inch. While they can appear anywhere on the body, they are most commonly found in the folds of skin; in armpits, on neck, on chest (especially under breasts) and on the buttocks and groin. Changes in hormones and changes in weight can increase their occurrence. Consult your doctor if you are unsure if you have a skin tag or if you have any concerns.
