Incorrect Authorship Auto-Assignment on HF Daily Papers

Dear Hugging Face Support Team,

I am writing as one of the authors of the paper titled “Taming LLMs by Scaling Learning Rates with Gradient Grouping”, which was recently listed on Hugging Face Daily Papers (Paper page - Taming LLMs by Scaling Learning Rates with Gradient Grouping).

We have encountered an issue with the Authorship Claiming process. It appears the system has incorrectly auto-assigned authorship to two individuals who are not co-authors on our paper. This is preventing the actual authors from claiming their authorships.

Specifically:

  1. Incorrect Assignment for Zicheng Liu:
    • The system has assigned authorship to a “Zicheng Liu” with the Hugging Face ID: MarcusB3n.
    • This is not the Zicheng Liu who is an author on our paper.
    • We kindly request that this incorrect authorship assignment for MarcusB3n be removed from our paper.
  2. Incorrect Assignment for Dan Xu:
    • The system has assigned authorship to a “Dan Xu” with the Hugging Face ID: danxu.
    • This is also not the correct one. The actual co-author is Dan Xu (ID: danxuhk).
    • We kindly request that the incorrect assignment to danxu be removed, so that the correct co-author Dan Xu (danxuhk) can claim authorship.

As a result of these incorrect assignments, we (the actual authors) are currently unable to manage or claim our authorship for this paper.

Could you please assist us by:

  • Removing the authorship claim associated with Zicheng Liu (ID: MarcusB3n) from our paper.
  • Removing the authorship claim associated with Dan Xu (ID: danxu) from our paper.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Sincerely,

Zedong Wang

It’s difficult for support staff to notice posts on the forum, so I think it’s better to send an email. The forum is intended for communication between users, so HF staff are only there by chance. website@huggingface.co
