Hi everyone!
I’m a Tibetan entrepreneur based in Lhasa, working on a platform to protect and promote authentic Tibetan artisan crafts (such as thangka paintings, statues, incense tools, etc.). We want to use image classification models (e.g., CLIP, ResNet) to verify the style, region, and authenticity of handmade Tibetan products and generate certificates for buyers and artisans.
This project is driven by cultural preservation and rural economic empowerment—not just e-commerce.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience with computer vision and image classification (ResNet, CLIP, etc.)
- Can work with small, labeled datasets in a low-resource context
- Is open to contributing to a meaningful cultural project
- Familiar with PyTorch / TensorFlow / HuggingFace frameworks
Project offer:
$500 for the MVP model proof-of-concept
Another $500 once the platform is launched
Full credit, co-authorship option, and cultural impact
Remote work, any timezone, English OK
If you’re passionate about cultural AI, image recognition, or want to support Tibetan artisans, please comment here or send me a message. I’m happy to chat more details.
Thank you!
