How long are new users rate limited in HF discussions?

I opened an account yesterday… specifically to comment on a new model.

Once I posted, I can’t edit the post to include information i wanted to add, because my use is limited as a new user.

The owner of that repository responded, I’m still not allowed to reply.

ok, fine. my (single) use has run out for the day, wait till tomorrow.

now, 26 hours later, my use is still out “for the day”

I understand wanting to restrict spam, but this restriction seems a bit strong.

now 48 hours and I still cannot post a reply.

ok, I guess the answer is somewhere between 2-3 days
