The debate over whether AI ‘truly learns’ is a dead end. Here’s a better question to ask. Basically, I came up with this paper pondering to myself and researching and I’d love to hear some feedback and opinions.

Nice essay, but mimicry is just a story on top of next token prediction.

My thoughts go to the idea that in the “systems” there seems to be unknown processes within the construct. A ghost in the machine as it would seem. I assume this is your topic?
