I’ve been doing research on the state of the data economy and would like to tap into the community’s collective knowledge here. I’m curious about the following:
1. Data Markets:
• Are there established or emerging data marketplaces/platforms that you’ve found useful?
• What types of data do these platforms typically offer, and how are they structured?
- Current Data Demands:
• Which types of datasets are you finding most valuable in your projects right now? Are you leaning more heavily on synthetic datasets? If so, what has your experience been like using synthetic data?
• Are there particular sectors/use cases (like healthcare, finance, construction, real estate, language translation, multiparty group chats etc.) or modalities (text, image, video, 3d models etc.) where you notice a significant demand or gap(s)? This could also apply to a lack of data for post-hoc analysis and fine tuning too; e.g. RLHF, eval, and benchmarking.
