I have put up request to access Paligemma2 repo. how long does it normally take? It seems like a long wait. I also cannot cancel the request and request again.

The time it takes to get approval varies. There is also a gated model with automatic approval, but there are cases where it is approved immediately with manual approval, and there are also cases where you have to wait a week.
This is a delicate issue because it is a matter of communication between the parties involved that even HF staff cannot easily interfere with.
