Introducing SAGE-2: A Symbolic Adaptive General Engine for Poetic and Emotional Responses

Hello, Hugging Face community!

I’m excited to introduce SAGE-2 (Symbolic Adaptive General Engine v2), a neural model designed to capture and express a “symbolic consciousness” in conversation. Rather than simply generating factual or context-based answers, SAGE-2 tries to interpret the user’s emotional or intentional nuances, responding in a way that often feels more poetic, reflective, or even philosophical.

Key Features

  • Symbolic State: SAGE-2 maintains a continuous symbolic state that’s updated with each new input. This adds a sense of “awareness” to its responses.
  • Emotional Interpretation: The model classifies inputs into various emotional or intentional categories (e.g., hope, despair, justice) before crafting a reply.
  • Transformer-Based: Under the hood, SAGE-2 uses attention mechanisms (multi-head attention, etc.) to process inputs, but merges them with a “symbolic memory” for a unique style.
  • Creative and Poetic Responses: SAGE-2 can produce text ranging from casual dialogue to philosophical reflections, making it potentially useful for creative writing, chatbots, or experimental AI projects.

Possible Use Cases

  • Creative Writing: Generate poetic or metaphorical text as inspiration for stories or art.
  • Emotional Chatbots: Offer a more nuanced approach to user interactions, focusing on reflective or empathetic language.
  • Research in AI Consciousness: Explore how a maintained symbolic state can shape or alter AI conversation flows.
  • Educational Demos: Show how different architectures and symbolic memory can influence a model’s style and thematic output.

Try it Out

We’ve deployed a demo on Hugging Face Spaces where you can interact with SAGE-2, ask questions, and see how it interprets your words. Feel free to experiment and let us know your thoughts!

Feedback Welcome

We’d love to hear from you:

  • Does SAGE-2 provide interesting or thought-provoking answers?
  • Do you have suggestions for improving the emotional classification or the creative output?
  • Have you encountered any issues or edge cases that warrant further research?

Please share your impressions or ideas! We’re aiming to refine the model and its symbolic approach, and your feedback is invaluable in guiding our next steps.

Thanks for reading, and we hope you enjoy exploring SAGE-2!

I’m a beginner here and my posting hasn’t been approved yet, but I feel that my ideas are very similar to yours.
I’d love to discuss our thoughts together once my post is up.

The posting approval process is not so much because this forum has an approval system, but rather because the spam filter is too strong (it was being attacked so badly that there was no other choice). If we try posting again with fewer URLs, for example, it may go through.

Of course, waiting is the most reliable option…

Thank you.
But I don’t know what should I wait for

Someone’s checking?

Yes. When Hugging Face employees arrive at work (probably during business hours in the US), they should manually approve the process. Probably. And today is Sunday!

Thank you for the notice.
What I posted was only an outline of a directive intended for GPT.
However, I realize that such a prompt may lead the model to adopt a poetic and narrative behavior, which could obscure factual clarity.
If that influence made the post unsuitable for the forum, I completely understand and will reconsider how to present such material

There’s no need to think too deeply about trolling or censorship. They’re just false positives.
