Debit card payment hold issue

It’s pretty simple. HuggingFace simply does not have any disclaimers about debit card usage for payments on the add payment method modal.
I tried to pay via my debit, they put the “temporary hold” that should be cancelled at the end of transaction. Long story short, I got a nonsense error message, saying

“Prepaid cards are not supported. Please use another payment method.”

Why don’t you let me know before I put my 10 bucks at your pocket? Also temporary hold is still in place. Now I need to BOTHER for this 10 bucks that I wouldn’t have spend on such nonsenseness at the first place.

Guys… Maybe set up a seamless payment process with ACTUAL WARNINGS AND DISCLAIMERS ABOUT THE PROCESS before all the other unnecessary development?

EDIT: Even tho I got an error, my payment method is added and I could use it. I really cannot believe this. This is not happening even on my weekend side hustle SaaS…

Hi @UltraInstinct0x When a payment method is added to an account, we’ll validate the card with a $10 hold, but don’t worry - this is not charged and the hold should clear within a few business days.

Hi @meganariley !! Why prepaid cards are not supported? You can chheck the 10$ credits equally to a debit card.

Encountered a similar issue: when I used a different account and tried linking it to my debit card, but that card was already linked to another one of my accounts, the system notified me of a duplicate card. However, it still temporarily held $10, and I’ve been waiting for several days without getting it back.

It seems to depend on the credit card company, but it seems to take around two weeks until the refund is completed.
