I would be thrilled to be able to drop $20 on a gift card to load up GPU space time and inference, without the risk of personal information, like CC number, being exposed to the internet.
These cards, like all prepay gift cards, would be a code that is entered in the Huggingface system, to update a users available balance. An additional advantage would be that these “credits” would also be giftable to projects, spaces, users.
Hope to see this on the horizon, because I anticipate a lot of API providers taking this path in the not too distant future.

Hi @broadfield-dev Thanks for posting! If you haven’t already, you can request to join our waitlist for prepaid compute credits in your billing settings: Hugging Face – The AI community building the future..
We also offer organizations the ability to set up contract-based invoicing, which allows for more payment options for annual plans. Click on ‘payment information’ in your organization billing settings to request a quote.

That’s cool, and thanks for the invite. I will have to look into this more, and as long as it doesn’t require any personal information, I’m in. The rampant data leaks all across the internet says to me that it’s naïve to think that any company can be good stewards of personal data. Hence, $20 API / GPU gift cards at WalMart. I’ll check out the Huggingface plan you mentioned.
