Hi, this space (MiniSearch - a Hugging Face Space by Felladrin) was restarted today and got stuck in the “Building” state for hours. There are no logs indicating it’s actually building. Maybe it’s in some queue for building? But it never took so long. So I think there might be some error with the space.
I already tried stopping, restarting and factory-rebuilding it, but nothing worked.
Maybe exact same issue…
Thanks, @John6666! I’ll also mail them about this issue.
The biggest problem is indeed losing the likes count, as it won’t be easy to recover them.
Yeah. The commit history also disappears…
If there are posts in the community section, those will also disappear. So we can’t even delete the original space. It’s really inconvenient when this happens.
Unfortunately, the issue wasn’t solved until now. So I moved the space to https://huggingface.co/spaces/Felladrin/MiniSearch-Preview
(which is still broken at this moment) and created a new space from scratch in https://huggingface.co/spaces/Felladrin/MiniSearch
.
But it seems the problem persists… Maybe it’s a bug with Docker-based Spaces.
The URL https://felladrin-minisearch.hf.space/
remains showing “Preparing space”.

It happens even in a pure Gradio space… it happened.
Well, in the end, I had to delete https://huggingface.co/spaces/Felladrin/MiniSearch-Preview
. Because I noticed that while it was alive, the https://felladrin-minisearch.hf.space/
would be pointing to that space (even after renaming it).
At the moment I deleted MiniSearch-Preview
, the https://huggingface.co/spaces/Felladrin/MiniSearch
started working, and also https://felladrin-minisearch.hf.space/
, which now points to the new space.

Wow… this might be the main body of the bug. .hf.space is the main body of Spaces.
